The lawmaker representing the good people of Ilorin West/North Constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Abdulrahman Abdulrafiu yesterday gave one hundred and twenty (120) of his constituents free Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) forms with full computer based test (CBT) training.
The beneficiaries of the form distribution which took place at his Constituency Office, Kwara Agenda, near Society Generale Bank, Ibrahim Taiwo road, Ilorin, were drawn from all the seven wards namely; Ajikobi, Alanamu, Adewole, Ojuekun/Zarumi Oloje, Ogidi and Ubandawaki that make up the constituency.
He also used the medium to urge other constituents to make use of the ICT centre he set up in the contact office two (2) years ago for CBT training, project research, online registrations and all sort of computer services at 'NO COST'.
The lawmaker who has numerous people's oriented bills sponsored and co-sponsored at the State House of Assembly, maintained that Kwarans should be thankful to God for having the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, whose footsteps are worth emulating by other politicians, as the leader of All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state.
Hon. AbdulRahman disclosed further that the total JAMB form support he gave to the constituents of Ilorin West/North, which included online registration, was in line with the patriotic leadership Senator Saraki has been displaying for many years back as a way of providing succour to the less-privileged in the quest for quality education for their children, in which he was an all-years committee member before elected to the State House of Assembly in 2015. Particularly, the thousands of the JAMB forms which were distributed last week at the Senate President's constituency office in Ilorin.
By political geography, Ilorin North/West constituency has two sub-constituencies, viz; Ajikobi constituency and Alanamu constituency. However, as a politician who believes in the educational development and grassroot outreach, the lawmaker also considered the youth wings of the both sub-constituencies as beneficiaries and many anonymous constituents who requested to be beneficiaries of the free JAMB forms through text messages and phone calls to him.
After the distribution of the forms, His counterpart from Owode Onire Constituency at the state house of Assembly, Hon. Taiwo Abdullahi, who helped in presenting the forms to the beneficiaries, appreciated Hon. A.A for his keen interest in the human capacity development and wellbeing of not only his constituents but Kwarans at large.
He proceeded by telling the constituents of Ilorin West/North to feel blessed for having the humble, responsible and responsive legislator as their representative because all of legislative activities are masses driven.
