Jiddah's demise tragic, sudden - Kwara Speaker

The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ali Ahmad has condoled the family of Barrister Abdullateef Jiddah who passed on at the early hours of Tuesday in Ilorin, describing his death as sudden and tragic.

Ahmad who was at the deceased's residence at GRA on Tuesday to sympathise with the family also join other sympathisers and family members for the Jannazah.

In a statement issued by the Special Assistant on Media to the Speaker, Shuaib Abdulkadir, he described late Jiddah as one of the brightest lawyers to have been produced by the state and very upright in his chosen profession.

Until his demise, the Speaker said the late lawyer cum politician always stand for justice and never at any point in time found wanting while discharging his duties.

As a former Special Assistant during governor Bukola Saraki's administration, Ahmad said further that the deceased was very diligent and upright while serving government and the people of Kwara.

He further described him as a productive person who contributed effectively and efficiently to the successes recorded by the immediate past administration in the state.

The Speaker however lamented that the deceased's life was cut short at a time his services is utmostly required for the socio-economic and political advancement of Kwara, stressing that he would be sorely missed.

Ahmad sympathised with the Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, the All Progressives Congress ( APC) and Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki, praying that Allah give them the fortitude to bear the loss.

He enjoined the family to take solace in the fact that Jiddah died a fulfilled man having used his life to touch other people's lives positively, particularly the downtrodden.

The Speaker urged them to sustain the good legacy left behind by the late politician, stressing that it is by so doing the deceased's would continue to be remembered.
