Fire Outbreak: Kwara Speaker sympathizes with NTA, Ilorin

The Speaker, Kwara state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu has sympathized with the management and staff of the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), Channel 9, Ilorin over a fire outbreak that razed a section of the TV station, Tuesday night.
"It is with great displeasure that we receive the sad news of a fire outbreak at NTA Ilorin late Tuesday night, razing multimillion naira equipments, gadgets and documents critical to the discharge of the station's core mandate", Danladi-Salihu said in a statement by his Special Assistant, Media, Ibrahim Sheriff.
"On behalf of the 9th Kwara legislature, I sympathize with the management and staff of the TV station over the incident, which is a major drawback for the repositioning efforts of the station.
"NTA Ilorin has been a partner in progress of the Kwara State House of Assembly, we are in solidarity with them in this trying period.
"We however want to encourage the station to not waiver in its strides to deliver quality broadcasting to Kwarans and generality of Nigerians, on account of the inferno", he added.
He also seized the opportunity to charge the TV station, business concerns and private individuals to be safety conscious to avert the prevalence of fire outbreaks and consequent loss of lives and properties.
