Kwara Speaker mourns deceased Ekiti LG Speaker

The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi has expressed grieve over the demise of the suspended Speaker of Ekiti Local Government, Hon. Adeniyi Kayode Emmanuel, who reportedly passed on earlier today.

The Speaker in a condolence message signed by his Special Assistant, Media, Ibrahim Sheriff on Thursday said the news of the demise of the local government lawmaker came as a rude shock, given his youthful age and his potentials of productively contributing to the development of Kwara state.

"Late Hon. Adeniyi Kayode Emmanuel is the only local government legislative head with record of summoning courage to speak up and checkmate the ineptitude and financial recklessness in his local government executive council, which led to the suspension of his Chairman, even though the process was aborted for political consideration, he will be remembered for being courageous and brave in the course of serving his people.

"I condole with the good people of Ekiti local government, member representing Ekiti local government - Hon. Ganiyu Abolarin Gabriel and particularly, the local government legislature over the colossal loss. We pray Almighty God forgive his shortcomings and grant his family, friends, political associates and the good people of Ekiti local government fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss", Danladi said.
