10th year anniversary: Olofa of Offa, a monarch with uncommon philanthropy - Kwara Speaker

The Speaker, Kwara state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi has congratulated the Olofa of Offa, Oba Muftau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II, as he clocks ten on his ancestral stool.

The reign of the monarch as Olofa of Offa, who received staff of office on May 9th, 2010 is characterized by peace, prosperity and tranquility in, and around Offa community and indeed Kwara state at large, Danladi said in a statement signed by his Special Assistant, Media, Ibrahim Sheriff in Ilorin, Saturday.

"On behalf of the 9th Kwara State House of Assembly, I celebrate with Oba Muftau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II, a foremost traditional ruler and philanthropist per excellence as he clocks ten years on the throne of his forefathers.

"We are delighted to note that your reign has seen Offa community and Kwara State unprecedented growth in peace, prosperity and harmonious co-existence, although not without surmountable challenges", Danladi said.

He added "The monarch has demonstrated responsiveness, empathy and uncommon commitment to societal safety, peace building and welfare of his subjects and Kwarans, referencing his swift intervention in periods of security challenges by setting up Offa Security Trust Fund and being one of the first responder against COVID-19 induced hunger among traditional institutions."

Danladi noted that Olofa's giant strides is instrumental to Kwara State government's efforts in strengthening the security architecture of the state and tackling the surge of COVID-19 pandemic in the State.

"it is our prayer that Offa community and Kwara state continue to witness groundbreaking developmental feats under your rulership, while wishing our Father, the Olofa of Offa more peaceful and prosperous reign on his ancestral stool"
