The Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly Dr. Ali Ahmad has warned that any filling station constructed illegally in the State after the October 15th last year's resolution of the House on the indiscriminate construction of filling stations in the State would be demolished.

Constituency Barrister Kamaldeen Fagbemi.

Dr. Ahmad who was visibly angry over the proliferation of filling stations in the State said the resolutions of the House had quashi-judicial power and assured the people of the state that the House would tackle the menace by taking decisive action against any erring owners of filling stations to safeguard life and property in the state.

This is part of the resolutions of the House while receiving three petitions on the construction of additional three filling stations in residential areas in the state capital.

The House equally resolved to send a high powered 4 man delegation to the State Governor, Alh AbdulFatah Ahmed over allegation that approval for construction of filling stations in residential areas in the state emanated from the executive arm of government.
